You have your own private cabin with a complete kitchen and bathroom, free wifi, electric heat, patio & BBQ with a view. All set on a hobby farm with spectacular views of the Caribou Mountains, forests, and wetlands.
The cabin is small and is most comfortable for a couple or two + kids. Larger groups can be accommodated with the attached extra bedroom but the living space does become quite cozy.
This cabin is setup as 2 buildings connected by a 2m indoor walkway. The main cabin has the double bed, a bedroom with 2 bunk beds, kitchen, and bathroom (tub and shower). The 2nd cabin just has some additional beds: 2 bunk beds and another double bed. Smaller groups (less than 4) would only need to ever use the main cabin.
There are flower gardens, an orchard, and a vegetable garden to picnic in. You can stroll around the 40 acres and see the various animals: dogs, cats, chickens, guinea fowl, turkeys (free range), ducks (free range), horses, miniature horses, miniature donkey, and (of course) a llama. We are very family and child friendly with lots of indoor and outdoor toys for the kids.
There is free WiFi in the cabin and around the property. If on one else is using it, we get about 3Mb/s download speeds.
We are very child and family friendly with dozens of animals to see and lots of indoor and outdoor toys to play with.
We have large friendly dogs and miniature horses, donkey, ducks, turkeys, chickens, cats, and a llama outside (never in the cabin). If you are scared of animals this is not a suitable place to stay.
No guest pets and no smoking anywhere. Anywhere.
You have access to your cabin and all the outdoor spaces on our 40 acres including gardens and orchard. We ask that you do not enter the horse fences unless you ask us first AND you are comfortable being around large animals. Please do not enter the chicken fence without one of us so we can show you how to properly close and latch all the gates--chickens who escape quickly die from coyotes and weasels etc. You do not have access to our private buildings like the machine shed and shop.
We will show you the cabin and give you a key. If we're not super busy and it looks like you might want a tour, we're delighted to show you the place and answer any questions you might have. We live in the main "big house" which is a completely separate building.
Teepee Meadows is in a quiet area, 2km from the highway. There is very little traffic or noise. The views are spectacular and sunsets ignite our pond. All this yet only 3km from "downtown" Valemount.
Driving from Valemount is less than 5min. Biking about 15min--about 85% paved. 20min drive to world-famous Mount Robson and Berg Lake. One-and-a-half hour drive from Jasper and the Icefields Highway.
